Date Note: 16 Vedis is a medieval shrine, whereas Surya Shrine and Chota Akshayavata are relatively recent shrines with early medieval sculptures.
Abstract: New shrines are continually being added through rematerialization of sculptures and creation of new shrines, as is evident at Chota Akshayavata. The pillared hall is an open courtyard shrine, next to which is another, smaller courtyard of six or eight pillars.
